Job Summary:
As the Director of Pharmacy, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities within the hospital pharmacy. Your role involves adhering to hospital policies, professional standards, and State and Federal laws. Additionally, you'll play a crucial part in recommending innovations to the Administration and executing mutually agreed-upon programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Establish quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals in collaboration with upper management.
Supervise the maintenance and dissemination of drug information through in-service education, consultations, and support to hospital personnel and medical staff.
Actively assist staff pharmacists in routine duties when necessary.
Direct and provide professional and technical guidance to pharmacy personnel.
Provide leadership in new program development, implementation, and evaluation, acting as a consultant in areas of expertise.
Anticipate the needs of customers/suppliers to ensure effective departmental operations.
Foster teamwork among staff, peers, physicians, and others.
Hold a B.S. or Pharm D from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
